Can't connect to Tone Control (Temporary Workaround)

Symptom: The Spark app is connected to Bluetooth Audio, but it cannot successfully connect to Tone Control.

Workaround:

  1. Ensure that both the Spark app and the firmware on the Spark amp are updated to the latest version.
  2. Reset your Spark amp.

Spark 40: Bluetooth Reset

Spark MINI: Factory Reset

Spark GO: Factory Reset

Spark LIVE: Factory Reset


3. Close the Spark app (don't let it run in the background).


4. Go to Bluetooth settings.


5. Unpair the Spark amp (Spark 40/MINI/GO/LIVE Audio) from the Bluetooth device.


6. Launch the Spark app and go to the Menu tab. Click the '+' and follow the instructions to connect the Spark app to the Spark amp again. Pasted image 20240701151355.png
7. If you still encounter into the same issue, please provide us with the following:

a. Mobile device model.

b. Mobile device OS. If you're using a mobile device running Android, please try lowering the refresh rate from 120 Hz to 60 Hz and let us know if it solves the issue.

c. Spark amp model.

Link the ticket to Spark app - Connection Issue (BLE / Tone Control). We’ll prioritize it based on the impact.

If the mobile device model supports refresh rate of 1 - 120 Hz, ask the customer to change the refresh rate to 120 Hz.
